HBAR Duck Hold – Litepaper

Version 1.1 | October 2025
A handcrafted NFT collection on Hedera. Fixed supply. Hidden potential.

1. Introduction

HBAR Duck Hold is a curated NFT collection of 10,000 unique ducks on the Hedera Hashgraph. This project aims to establish long-term value through intentional design, a fixed supply, transparent governance, and progressive community engagement. It is not a quick trend but a digital ecosystem designed to grow over time.

New in v1.1: KINGDOM — a holder-governance layer where Ducks propose, vote, and steer roadmap execution.

2. The Art

Each NFT is created in 768×768 pixel dimensions with a consistent format. Ducks are assembled manually, not by random generators, ensuring clear structure and uniqueness:

  • Standardized layout and proportions across all ducks
  • Accessory traits curated manually, not algorithmically
  • Fixed pixel size ensures clarity and compatibility

3. Rarity Breakdown

The collection contains six rarity tiers. Here’s how they’re distributed:

Tier Supply % Count Sample Traits
Diamond 0.10% 10 Crown, Neon Aura, Golden Beak, Gem Staff
Gold 1.00% 100 Viking Helmet, Cyber Glasses, Golden Feet
Unique 1/1 1.00% 100 Individually handcrafted, no duplicates
Rare 10.00% 1,000 Pirate Hat, Blue Sunglasses, Jetpack
Limited 20.00% 2,000 Cap, Hoodie, Headphones, Coffee Mug
Common 67.90% 6,790 Minimal or no accessories

Total Supply: 10,000

No future minting. This is the complete collection.

4. Lore and Narrative

HBAR Duck Hold was conceptualized not as a meme or trend-based project, but as a timeless collection. Each duck holds subtle visual or symbolic meaning that may gain importance as the project matures. The deeper purpose behind these ducks has not yet been fully revealed — and that is intentional.

More will be unveiled as minting progresses and community milestones are reached.

5. Utility Overview

  • Identity & Access: Ducks act as keys to gated experiences, proposals, and votes.
  • Governance: Holders steer priorities via KINGDOM proposals and on-chain verified voting.
  • Community Programs: Leaderboards, giveaways, AMAs — participation is rewarded.
  • Transparency: Public dashboards for proposals, results, and treasury flows.

6. KINGDOM — Governance

6.1 Roles

  • Holders: Every Duck NFT equals voting power. All holders can vote.
  • KINGDOM Ducks: A subset (e.g., Gold, Diamond, and allow-listed Ducks) can create proposals. All holders can vote on them.

6.2 Voting Power

  • 1 Duck = 1 Vote (counted per token, not per wallet).
  • A snapshot is taken when voting opens; transfers after that don’t affect eligibility.
  • Ducks must be in a self-custody wallet connected to vote.

6.3 Proposal Lifecycle

  1. Draft (optional feedback in Discord)
  2. Submission by a KINGDOM Duck (title, rationale, impact, resources, timeline)
  3. Voting Window: ~26 days open to all holders
  4. Quorum & Threshold Check
  5. Result & Execution (owners, milestones, public tracking)
  6. Post-Mortem (brief outcome report for accountability)

6.4 Rules & Thresholds

  • Quorum: 100 Duck votes minimum.
  • Pass Rule: Simple majority (>50%) of votes cast, if quorum is met.
  • Spam/Duplicates: Clearly duplicate/low-effort proposals may be rejected; similar ideas should wait for prior outcomes before resubmission.
  • Comments & Signals: Non-binding but encouraged to refine proposals.

6.5 What Can Be Proposed?

  • Roadmap priorities and ship order
  • Treasury allocations (grants, bounties, audits, marketing)
  • Drop mechanics (timing, allowlists, special editions)
  • Ecosystem tools and integrations
  • Community programs (events, education, tournaments)
  • Policy changes (quorum, vote duration, parameters)

6.6 Execution & Accountability

  • Passed items receive a public Execution Plan (owners, milestones, ETA).
  • Budgeted items are disbursed from the Duck Reserve under secure controls.
  • Status and outcomes are tracked in the governance portal.

7. Ecosystem Tools

  • Ducks Vote: Proposals, voting, results, archives.
  • Ducks Wallet Unified: Wallet connection & verification (leading Hedera wallets).
  • DuckScan: Collection explorer, trait browser, governance analytics.
  • Discord Holder Verification: Connect wallet → one-time code → gated channels.
  • Integrations: Launchpad & Mirror Node for reliable data and traceability.

8. Treasury & Sustainability

A portion of primary sales and secondary royalties funds the Duck Reserve (treasury).

  • Transparent reporting of inflows/outflows via public dashboards
  • Community-directed allocations through KINGDOM proposals
  • Preference for milestone-based funding and measurable ROI on grants

9. Roadmap Summary

  • Phase 1: Initial Mint (100 Ducks, no Diamonds)
  • Phase 2: Gold and Unique 1/1 Drops
  • Phase 3: Supply expands toward 200 Ducks
  • Phase 4: Core Team Reveal
  • Phase 5: Utility Unlocks — KINGDOM governance beta, additional utilities as supply grows (target milestone ≈ 2,000 Ducks)
  • Phase 6: The Final Reveal — the true purpose of the Ducks

Parameters and dates may be adjusted via KINGDOM votes to reflect community priorities.

10. What We Can Share Now

  • The ducks are more than images — they unlock participation.
  • Long-term holders are best positioned to benefit from community-governed milestones.
  • Commons matter: broad distribution of voting power strengthens legitimacy.
  • Diamond & Unique Ducks are rare and culturally significant — handle with care.

11. The Team

The project is developed by a small, experienced group of artists, developers, and community managers. Their identities will be revealed in Phase 4. Until then, the work speaks for itself.

12. FAQ

Who can vote? All holders. Voting power is 1 Duck = 1 Vote using a snapshot at vote open.

How do I create a proposal? Hold a KINGDOM Duck (Gold, Diamond, or allow-listed), then submit with rationale, scope, and requested resources.

How long do votes last? About 26 days, unless changed by a future vote.

What’s quorum and pass rule? Quorum: 100 Duck votes. Pass: Simple majority (>50%) if quorum is met.

Where do we discuss? In the governance portal (comments & signals) and in Discord holder channels.

13. Final Words

HBAR Duck Hold is built for the long term. It rewards those who hold, those who believe, and those who participate. Every duck matters — whether rare or common — and every holder is part of the greater vision.

Hold your duck. Help decide what comes next.
